At Earth Breath Yoga, we use therapeutic massage to address chronic pain and musculoskeletal conditions as prescribed by a doctor. We use techniques such as myofascial release and deep tissue massage to release bound up muscles and stuck connective tissue. In conjunction with other medical care such as chiropractic and physical therapy, therapeutic massage helps to loosen tight muscles and fascia to its original position.

Major injuries and chronic repetitive motions can cause long lasting pain and discomfort that can't be resolved through stretching or other forms of self-care alone. Receiving regular therapeutic massage using techniques like neuromuscular therapy, acupressure, warm stones, myofascial release, and trigger point therapy help to work through the superficial layers to get at the root cause and restore proper muscle function and proprioception.  Therapeutic massage is beneficial for treating neck pain due to repetitive strain injury and prolonged computer use.

At Earth Breath Yoga, we'll start with an in-depth intake to learn about your medical history, including injuries and employment. We'll work with you and your referring doctor to develop a customized treatment plan. We'll also follow up every few weeks to make sure you're staying on track and getting the results you desire. We may also suggest the use of cupping therapy, so long as you aren't presenting with any contraindications.

After each session, we'll greet you at the door with purified water, and give you a few at-home self-care exercises to do between sessions to maintain your health and achieve lasting results.
