Plantar Fasciitis Foot Massage
Service Description
This specialized foot and lower-leg massage is designed for clients experiencing muscular tension, restriction, and discomfort commonly associated with plantar fasciitis and other patterns of foot tension. Treatment may incorporate a combination of deep tissue massage, neuromuscular therapy, trigger point work, stretching, and other targeted techniques based on your individual presentation. Rather than focusing only on the bottom of the foot, treatment may also address the calves and other muscles of the lower leg that can contribute to tension and restricted movement throughout the foot and ankle. This service is available for clients with professionally diagnosed plantar fasciitis as well as those experiencing similar heel or arch symptoms; however, unexplained, severe, persistent, or worsening pain should be evaluated by an appropriate healthcare professional. Choose Your Treatment Focused | 30 Minutes A highly targeted session for clients who want focused work on the feet and the most relevant areas of the lower leg. Neuromuscular and deep tissue techniques may be incorporated as appropriate. Extended | 45 Minutes Provides additional time to work more thoroughly through the feet, ankles, and lower legs while addressing individual patterns of muscular tension and restriction. Neuromuscular and deep tissue techniques may be incorporated based on your needs. Comprehensive | 60 Minutes Our most extensive foot and lower-leg treatment. This session allows time for more detailed neuromuscular therapy techniques designed to support improved muscular balance and ease tension patterns that may affect movement of the foot and ankle, along with deeper work through the calves and other muscles that influence the foot and ankle. Gua sha and/or cupping may also be incorporated when appropriate. Your selected treatment time is reserved for hands-on care. Intake and post-session recommendations are provided separately. Massage therapy is not a substitute for medical evaluation or treatment. Massage therapists do not diagnose medical conditions or prescribe medical treatment.
Cancellation Policy
This specialized service involves focused massage and manual therapy to the feet, ankles, calves, and lower legs. Depending on the treatment selected, techniques may include deep tissue massage, neuromuscular therapy, trigger point work, stretching, gua sha, and cupping. All clients must complete the Plantar Fasciitis Foot Massage Intake & Consent Form before their appointment. Please disclose all relevant medical conditions, medications, foot or ankle conditions, injuries, surgeries, injections, circulation concerns, loss of sensation, skin or nail conditions, and current healthcare restrictions. Massage cannot be provided when there is a known or suspected contagious condition affecting the feet or toenails, including athlete’s foot, fungal nail infections, plantar warts, ringworm, or another transmissible skin condition. Treatment may also need to be postponed or modified for active infections, cellulitis, open sores, ulcers, draining wounds, unhealed injuries, recent surgeries, unexplained swelling, or other conditions that make massage inappropriate. The massage therapist does not diagnose plantar fasciitis, skin conditions, infections, or the medical cause of foot pain. If a condition is observed that may make treatment unsafe, the therapist may modify, postpone, or decline the service and may recommend evaluation by an appropriate healthcare professional. Please contact Earth Breath Massage before your appointment if you are unsure whether a recent procedure, injury, skin or nail condition, or medical concern affects your ability to receive treatment. If you arrive with a contraindication or condition that prevents the reserved service from being safely performed and it was not disclosed in advance, the appointment will be considered a late cancellation and up to 100% of the scheduled service price may be charged. You may request that pressure, positioning, or any technique be modified or stopped at any time. Standard Earth Breath Massage cancellation and no-show policies also apply.
