Buccal Massage (Intraoral Massage)
Service Description
Buccal massage is a series of specialized techniques targeting the face, jaw, and surrounding areas. This treatment combines external facial massage with gloved intraoral massage performed inside the mouth, allowing access to muscles that are difficult to address externally. Benefits of buccal and intraoral massage may include: • Decreased hypertonicity in the muscles of mastication • Reduced facial tension and edema • Relief of jaw tension associated with bruxism • Reduced frequency or severity of tension-related headaches • Support for healthy lymphatic drainage • Improved circulation to the soft tissues • Increased mobility of restricted soft tissue and scar tissue • Deep relaxation and reduced muscular tension The Signature 90-Minute Experience This extended treatment goes beyond the face and jaw to address interconnected areas that may contribute to tension. Depending on your needs, your session may include focused work to the neck, pectoral region, and upper back. The treatment also includes approximately 20–30 minutes of Indian scalp massage using our proprietary blend of essential oils, selected to support relaxation, ease muscular tension, and enhance the scalp massage experience. The full 90 minutes are reserved for hands-on treatment. Intake and post-session recommendations are provided separately and do not reduce your massage time. Important Contraindication Information Intraoral massage has specific contraindications. You will be required to complete an intake form before your appointment that includes a list of contraindications. Please review it carefully. If you identify a contraindication, please reschedule your appointment. If you do not receive your intake form, please contact me. Clients are responsible for reviewing the contraindications before their appointment. If you arrive and cannot receive the service due to an undisclosed contraindication, the full appointment fee will still apply. When clinically appropriate, your appointment may be converted to another massage service. Declining an alternative service will be considered a same-day cancellation and charged at 100% of the scheduled service fee.
Cancellation Policy
Buccal massage includes external facial massage and intraoral techniques performed inside the mouth. Because this service has specific health and safety considerations, all clients must complete the Buccal Massage Intake & Consent Form before their appointment. Certain medical, dental, oral, skin, or cosmetic conditions or recent procedures may require treatment to be modified or postponed. This may include, but is not limited to, recent dental or oral procedures, Botox or dermal fillers, facial procedures or surgery, active cold sores, mouth sores, dental infections, skin infections, open wounds, or other acute illness or inflammation. Please disclose all relevant health conditions, medications, dental procedures, cosmetic treatments, and recent changes in your health when completing your intake form. If you are unsure whether a condition or recent procedure affects your appointment, please contact Earth Breath Massage before your scheduled service. The massage therapist reserves the right to modify, postpone, or decline intraoral or other treatment when it may not be appropriate or safe to proceed. If you arrive for your appointment and are unable to receive the service because of a contraindication or recent procedure that was not disclosed in advance, the appointment will be considered a late cancellation and up to 100% of the scheduled service price may be charged. You may request that any technique be modified or stopped at any time during your appointment. Intraoral massage is always voluntary. Standard Earth Breath Massage cancellation and no-show policies also apply.
